Peep features a dynamic layered shade that can be configured to conceal or reveal its light source in varying degrees. Users adjust the lamp to alter the light reflected inside its shade and that which gets filtered outwards.
The lamp consists of two globes constructed with alternating gaps. Both are identical except in size. The smaller globe is suspended within the larger one, and rotates freely about a shared central axis.
Manually rotating the inner globe changes the alignment and size of the gaps, in turn altering the amount of light that peeps through. Aligning the globes to maximize the gaps gives a full view of the light bulb and provides users with access to the bulb for maintenance.
