A penchant for curiosity and playfulness characterizes Tyco's personality and his creations, which range from furniture and lighting to objects for the home. His hands-on approach to design draws influence from the details and intricacies of everyday life, and is inspired by the vibrant cultures of the people and places in which he is immersed. His love for experimenting with materials and methods of fabrication serves as a framework for his creative explorations.

Tyco graduated with distinction from OCADU (Industrial Design) and also holds a BSc from the University of Waterloo.
